As far I can remember, Asia cup 2012 was playing for the 2nd time in big tournament. Don’t know what will people tell about previous one but this time they played really well through out the tournament. Their performance and consistency surprised everyone. For that reason whole country, no the whole cricket world, was looking for the final match of Asia cup 2012.

People of the country was so excited for this match that most of the people rescheduled their work. I too was looking forward to this final with excitement and great hope. With the performance Bangladesh team was showing, I was pretty much sure something great might happen in the final. I skipped my classes at ICMAB to watched the whole match in TV.

During Pakistan‘s innings, our hope started to go up as Bangladesh team was showing outstanding performance in balling and fielding. They showed excellent fielding performance except the 50th over where they gave away 17 runs. But still our hopes was getting higher and higher.

Bangladesh’s innings were bit slow but not depressing. Tamim was in wicket. He showed brilliant performance in last 3 matches. So people was thinking he will do the same in this match too. Yes indeed he did. He scored  runs in the match which gave him 4th consecutive ODI in this tournament. Although he was performing great but his partners didn’t do well. They took too many balls to score few runs. Later Sakib came to the wicket and scored some runs. And gradually Bangladesh was reaching for their target. And everyone knows what happened at the end.

When Bangladesh needed 30 runs to win, I set out of home to see of my sister and mother to Chandpur. Yeah I missed the last part of the match but I saw something amazing. When I was on my way to Sadarghat waterway station, I found that all roads was almost empty. Where it takes one hour to reach sadarghat from my home, it took only 25 minutes. But often I heard people was shouting in excitement as Bangladesh team was scoring. Even the police and other forces who were on patrol through out the city was listening to the commentary on radio.

I was getting updates from my friend. I too became excited. By the time I reached to my destination, Bangladesh team needed 4 runs in 1 ball remaining. I saw a large crowd watching the match in TV in a corner. When I got aboard in the ship, I heard the news that Bangladesh lost the match by 2 runs. That was really a close call.

Just after the match was finished, whole station become crowded. And believe me it took almost 45 minutes to came home back. But I saw people was so much depressed. Later I saw that our players cried too. They didn’t just cry, they made others to cry with them.

This match was an excellent example of our patriotism. This match brought leaders of all large political party in same ground. This match made them to putt aside their differences. People of country started to support a single team “Team Bangladesh” although they support different teams and political parties. Also our cricket team showed their abilities to the cricket world. This tournament was great achievement for Bangladesh Cricket Team. People will remember this tournament and the final match for a long time.

Last time me and my friends played soccer was 8 month ago. That is when our friend Leu broke his left arm in a road accident. He was our key striker. After his accident all player become demotivated and almost stopped playing soccer. Nevertheless we all had love for Soccer because everyone asked me to organize another soccer match. I tried several times but there weren’t enough players to play. Day before yesterday, my friend Imran called for a match but same thing happened. but I asked Imran to call for the match next day so that i can inform others. And so I did. About 10 players responded for the match and 7 appeared in the field for the match. We took 2 more players from the field and got divided in two team. We played for more than 2 hours. Though my team got defeated by 6-1, I’m delighted because Soccer is back. We decided to play soccer each Thursday as everyone is free on that day. but if any unavoidable circumstances occurs, match will be held on Saturday. We all agreed with this plan. So from next Saturday we are starting New Soccer Season. And I’m pretty sure that next match full team will be in field. I’m too much excited about it. And now my whole body hurts as I played soccer after 8 months. I think my body missed soccer too…. 😛 😛 . I don’t know whether I’ll be able to get in class just in time as tonight I’ll have a deep sleep I’ll be late to move out in the morning. So gotta go now…..

What should I write about? There is so many things happened in last few days. Should I write about the awesome moments at YES!’s room or the things happened to me in Marketing 460 and Management 314 group. Should I write about first anniversary of NSU Bashundhara Campus or my upcoming busy schedule in next week? But I thing I should write about Football World cup.

In few hours FIFA World Cup 2010 going to unveil itself after four years.  People calls it greatest show on Earth. Don’t know about whole world but I should say whole Bangladesh is shaking in football fever.  I have seen thousands of flags in the buildings and cars of Dhaka city. In every area there are flags of participating countries. No I should say flags of Brazil & Argentina. Of course there are some other flags but they are too few to talk about.

These two countries, Brazil & Argentina, have successfully divided us in to two groups which AL & BNP was unable to do. I saw a family who are divided into two group.  Son is supporting Argentina, Father and daughter are supporting Brazil. As son said Argentina is the best team ever, his dinner was suspended by his father for two nights. 😛 I hope my mother won’t do that kind of thing to me (I support Argentina and she supports Brazil).

Well what I wanted say was we, Brazil & Argentina supporters, are placing our favorite countries flag. We are competing with others about the number of flags. But it’s a matter of shame that we don’t place these much flag of our country in special days. In International Language day, in Independence day or Victory day, we don’t want to wave our flag. It’s a matter of shame for us.

Another thing to say. Load shedding have increased last few days. I’m facing load shedding after each one hour. According to news papers it will continue few more days.  I’m thinking whether IPS sellers made any kind of deal with DESCo. DESCo should increase the load shedding so people who are victim of World Cup fever will be worried about the football matches and they will try to purchase IPS as soon as possible. It will increase there sell.

It’s tough to say which country will win the World Cup. But my wishes will be for every country participating in this tournament.  And another request to everyone. Take this tournament only as a game. Don’t do anything stupid or be serious for it. Last time I was there was a fight between Argentine supporters and Brazilian Supporters. Some people got injured in the fight.  Please don’t do anything like this. If any of the country wins, they won’t do anything for you. Don’t take your dedication to your favorite team that high which will result hurting your friends. Good luck to everyone and get well from the football fever soon. 😛

WordPress have some nice features. One of this is email post. I can post my blog via email. So i found that i can post right from my cell phone.
